I am all for recycling. But it seems it would have made more sense to start recycling when we started using natural resources, right? But i suppose better late than never

You are right Bobette. It is better late than never. Just imagine all the fish and aquatic animals that have to face the brunt of all the plastic that is in the Ocean? Plastic might be the worst invention yet apart from nuclear bombs

Very true Jaiyant, I never realized that a lot of plastic would be left at the beach and end up in the ocean. Why folks just dont take the crap home.

You could blame it on all the cartons of juice, bottles of beer, soft drinks and milk sachets that people carry to the beach. And not to forget the snacks that are packaged aesthetically in plastic bags of course.

sea side, gardens, markets to and fro...

In India plastic is a favourite snack of all stray cows and goats, who munch them oftener than not, thanks to our depositing generosity.

The problem in case of plastic is about finding a viable economic alternate that is as dexterous and as workable as plastic is. It is almost as if it is a an evil we cannot do without in the modern world and yes, the best way to deal with it is to either recycle it or maybe reduce the usage by looking for alternates which are most often more expensive and hence not really all that popular.
